week 7 - body parts
This week, we've been working on posters and labeling body parts.
Here's an example
Each poster should have at least 30 different parts labeled. Types of clothing (pants, earrings, etc.) and internal organs (heart, lungs, etc.) are also acceptable.
We also had quiz #7.

week 6
This week we worked through the core lesson for unit 1 lesson 3. By now everyone should be finished with all the other parts of lessons 1 and 2.
We learned ha, hi, hu, he, ho はひふへほ
We played a few rounds of pass the lamb to practice our new vocabulary and asking questions.
And we finished off the week by learning the first two verses of the children's song Momotaro-san.
Read about momotaro-san here
Then watch the video and practice the song here
And wikipedia has a translation of what the verses mean

Update
On friday we took quiz #4.
Then these last two days we've been enjoying some student presentations. I was inspired to join my local kendo and/or ninja societies. And inspired to not let my children ever go near the manga section at the bookstore.
Also we learned the next five hiragana: na, ni, nu, ne, no. Otherwise known as なにぬねの.
